How can I apply?

How much financial aid does the Aridemi Foundation provide for scholarship?

This is decided for each organization/scholarship individually. The typical range for scholarships lies between €1'000 and €4'000. Seldomly, exceptions can be made.

How much financial aid does the Aridemi Foundation provide for organization?

This depends on a number of factors such as, scope, impact and differs from case to case.

What does the application process look like?

How long does it take until my application is processed?

This depends heavily on our availability and the dates of our board meetings. We will try our best to respond to every request before the deadline you state in your application.

My organization, project or scholarship application did not get accepted. Can I reapply?

You can reapply after 12 months.



Scholarships

Who can apply for a scholarships

Cypriots or long term residents of Cyprus who are currently enrolled or will enrol in a University program in Cyprus or abroad can apply. International students can apply, however need they be very convincing in their essay question. Undergraduate and postgraduate students from any major are accepted.

Students need to be enrolled until at least one more year to be elligble for the scholarship.

Can students from any degree level apply?

Yes, students from all educational levels are welcome to apply. However, please note that generally speaking, preference is given to applicants in the following order: Bachelor's students, Master's students, and finally PhD candidates.

Special-notice for Psychology PhDs:

We currently receive a high volume of applications from Psychology PhD students seeking support for their practicum work. Typically, we are unable to accommodate these requests. While you are still welcome to submit an application, please be aware that we only make very rare exceptions, and the likelihood of acceptance is low..

I have already begun my studies. Can I still apply for a scholarship?

Yes, you can. Keep in mind, however, that the application deadline still applies. Otherwise you will have to apply for a scholarship for the following year.

Is the scholarship a one-time opportunity or will the Aridemi scholarship program support me over the entire duration of my studies?

Your scholarship will be for one academic year only (i.e. 2 semesters). However, you can apply for support in subsequent semesters with a reduced application process. Note that there is no guarantee for further support even if your first application was accepted.



Organizations

Why do I need to provide a financial statement in the application process?

We have to make sure that you are eligible for our support, since we focus on smaller organizations and people in need. Furthermore we wish to make sure that our support ends up at the persons in need and is only minimally diluted by overheads.
